Swimming Club Manager help
Troubleshooting, tab reference and help
Common problems and their fixes, what each tab is for, and where to get help.
Common problems
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No 🏊 menu | The sheet is still loading, or the add-on is not enabled | Wait 10 seconds and reload. Add-on: Extensions › Swimming Club Manager |
| Menu still shows the old name | Short name changed | Reload the sheet |
| A swimmer is not on the entry sheet | Not on Members, or no name | Add them on Members, then prepare the entry sheet again |
| A swimmer is in the wrong group | Wrong date of birth or age cutoff date | Fix it on Members or in Settings; rebuild races if not yet saved |
| “No gender” group on the race sheet | Gender missing on Members | Fill in Gender; rebuild races if not yet saved |
| A tick disappears on the entry sheet | It broke an entry rule | Read the message; change the Calendar’s Entry Group or Max per Swimmer if the rule is wrong |
| “No events on the Calendar” | The date has no Calendar rows, or a typo in the date | Check the Calendar’s Meet Date |
| Save results lists things to check | Missing times, a swimmer twice in one event, a name not on Members | Fix them on the Race Sheets tab and save again |
| “The PDF copy could not be saved” | Drive service not switched on (own copy) | Ask whoever set up the sheet to add the Drive API service; results are saved regardless |
| Can’t rebuild races | Results for that day are already saved | Make changes on the Race Sheets tab and save again, or add a late swimmer |
| Anything else odd | A missing tab, column or check | ⚙️ Setup › 🛠️ Repair sheets, then ✅ Check my sheet |
If a menu item fails, a message explains what to try, who to contact and the version number. Include that message when asking for help.

Report and working tabs show a warning before anyone types on them. 👁️ Show tabs hides everything except what a job needs (Pre-meet, Results, Point score, Membership, Setup); All tabs brings everything back. Hiding never changes anything.
