Swimming Club Manager help
On the pool deck
Run the meet from the printed race sheets, record every change on paper, and bring the sheet into line afterwards.
Run the meet from the printed race sheets and record every change on paper; the sheet is brought into line afterwards. Nothing needs a laptop at the pool, though one helps for late entries.
| Situation on the day | What to do on paper | What to do in the sheet afterwards |
|---|---|---|
| Late swimmer, a race for their group exists | Write them into an empty lane with a start time you choose | Type their name into that empty lane on the Race Sheets tab, their handicap and finish time; then Save results |
| Late swimmer, no race for their group | Add a race or put them in a nearby race | If you swam an extra race: 🌊 Race day › ➕ Add a late swimmer to create it, then type the times. Otherwise type them into the race they swam |
| Swimmer scratched | Cross them out | Type DNS in their Finish Time |
| Swimmer moved to a different race | Note the move | Clear their row in the old race and type them into the new one |
| Handicap changed on the deck | Note the new start time | Type the new handicap; your number is kept |
| Swimmer did not finish / disqualified | Note it | Type DNF or DQ |
Late entries before racing starts. With a laptop at the pool you can use 🌊 Race day › ➕ Add a late swimmer… to place a swimmer properly (it picks a race with a free lane and recalculates that race’s handicaps), then reprint. 🌊 Race day › ⏱️ Recalculate handicaps (before racing) redoes the handicaps after any manual changes; races that already have times are left alone.
Points for moved swimmers. A swimmer who races with another group still scores in their own group’s point score.
Typing rules for the Race Sheets tab. Names must match the Members tab spelling. Times use a full stop for tenths and colons for minutes (1:05.2, not 1.05.2). A time in the wrong format is flagged by the cell’s check as you type it.
